That’s great, Craig. Congrats! You can see our entire list of Mac classes by going to “Mac and Windows” in the top menu and clicking on “Mac” on the left. Here’s a direct link. Have fun! http://pcclassesonline.com/category/mac-and-windows/mac/

      • Stephen

Great site and videos. Looking to buy a Mac for photo editing (advance amateur/hobbyist). Would you suggest a 27″ iMac w/ Retina or a 15″ MacBook Pro for best performance and future longevity. Each have benefits and disadvantages of course. What do you recommend to your clients? Thanks

  3. ameer

this morning I suddenly browsed and started to humbly watch and listen to your twitter tutorials, without my knowledge I have spent more than an hour. finally realized your are doing a great tech talks on subjects, for people like me , I do not even have a twitter account or knowing how to use, this is why I came to your site. How much it cost to get these free classes, as you have presented. Please send me am email. At the moment I have a windows laptop, later after I make some money I will get a Mac. Ameer [email protected]

    • Mark from PCClassesOnline

All of our classes are free. Have fun learning and thanks for visiting PCClassesOnline!

      • John Atkinson

I Recently purchased a MacBook Pro. After many years as a Windows user I found Apple software daunting. The first thing I managed to achieve was Trovi on my laptop. I did not understand how to set up the laptop. After much frustration I found your u-tube lectures and all became clear.

        Many thanks John

      • Mark from PCClassesOnline

We love to hear that, John! Thanks for sharing your story.

  4. ameer

I do not have any website

    • Mark from PCClassesOnline

No website is needed, but we have a few classes on that as well (and more to come).

  5. Keith jackson

Tried to use the link to Amazon, Union Jack, on my iPad but nothing happens. The old link worked great.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    • Mark from PCClassesOnline

Good eye, Keith! Thanks for letting me know. I have everything fixed now, so try it again if you would. http://pcclassesonline.com/how-to-support-pcclassesonline/

  6. Luka V

    Hi David!

    Love the new website!!

FYI, on the Live Class Schedule page, for OneNote, there is a grammar mistake in the description of the class. “Form” should be “from.”

    • Mark from PCClassesOnline

Thanks for the compliments, Luka – and good eye on the grammar.

  7. johnz

DAVID i tried to get to pcclasseson. is there a different page. I’m looking for the libery?

    • Mark from PCClassesOnline

johnz, we designed a whole new site that is far more organized and user friendly than the previous one. Now you can sort by topic (top menus), see the 5 latest videos (top of home page), see a list of the most popular videos, top Mac or iPhone videos (home page), and more. Then, if you are looking for something specific, you can use the search feature (magnifying glass in the menu bar). You’ll be able to discover FAR more with this new site than the old one. Have fun! Let me know if you’re looking for something specific.

  8. Sacha

I noticed that many of your older classes were missing …

    • Mark from PCClassesOnline

Which one(s) are you looking for?

  9. Mike

I did something wrong. Came to view your site, again…..This time the video wouldn’t play. Do you know what I did? Thanks

    • Mark from PCClassesOnline

Without more info, it would be hard to guess. When you say, “the video won’t play”, do you mean that when you click the play button, nothing happens? Give me some more info and I will see if I can help. What browser are you using? Can you play videos on YouTube normally? That info will help me help you. Thanks, Mike!

      • Marc

        Hi David,
I have been experiencing the same symptom. In the Safari (v8.0.4) browser (Yosemite v10.10.2), when I click on the play button, nothing happens. I can play YouTube videos OK. If I use another browser, like Opera or Chrome, the play button starts the videos as normal. Yours isn’t the only website where I see this problem, and I have not been able to find the cause. Whenever this happens I have to switch to another browser to play the video.

      • Mark from PCClassesOnline

That means that your Flash player in that browser is likely out of date.

  10. nora sanabria

Hi : I was lucky to find your tutoring on line but, I am a new IMAC user , and as a senior person, my sons considered to buy this Mac because with windows, in spite I had anti-virus, I had constantly problems. The help I most need is your recommendations- to find a tutor in Spanish , I live in Pasadena California , how much it will cost me. ? This Mac is very difficult I have many problems with my e-mails, passwords, etc. (family and friends I don’t bother them)
    I would appreciate your information

  11. michael johnson

I don’t want this page obscuring my use of the site

    • Mark from PCClassesOnline

Sorry, what page are you referring to?

  12. David Stein

I think your tutorials are great. I am new to apple and have watched FinalCut Pro to get started. My initial problem was to get my videos from my android phone ( Samsung 4 into my Mac. I have learnt that the easy way is to download the camera files into a flash drive and then put the flash drive into my mac. So easy. Is there a more direct way ? Thanks.

    • Mark from PCClassesOnline

The way that I transfer things from one device to another most often is using DropBox or Google Drive. I would suggest Google Drive for you since you likely already have an account. Then you can access anything from anywhere.

  13. flmmsx

Can you boot a Chromebook from a Slako thumb drive?

  14. Alan

I just found your webpage. I am watching “scanning documents & Photos on a Mac” when i go to Image Capture it doesn’t show my printer like it does on your video. Help please.
    Also Happy Easter,

  15. Dan Vega

Congrats on the new website. It looks great and its really easy to find what I’m looking for.

  16. Marcel

    It’s looking great.
    Greetings from the NETHERLANDS

  17. Phil Davis

    Great site upgrade!

  18. Viv

Great new site Lovely to learn and learn

Two small points When will new photo app come out of beta and will you give a tutorial on it

Secondly – If i had an android phone which I don’t how would i transfer photos to my mac and view them in iPhoto ?

  19. Robert Pill

Much improved site, easy to search for a class and, if you’re scrolling down to find something, easier to focus on the content of the front page – I like the new purple, textured background. All in all a great learning experience! Thanks to David, Mark and the team.

    • Mark from PCClassesOnline

Thanks for your kind words and support, Robert!

  20. Barbara Hilfiker

A Question: Been reading reviews and I am confused. I have a OS X version 10.8.5 desktop iMac Mountain Lion. What version number of Roxie Titanium Toast would be best as I see different #s of the Toast. Right now I cannot burn to DVD my iPhoto’s and home video’s together on my Mac both off my Nikon Coolpix. The video’s will not show on burned disk like the photo . Video’s come up blank with movement gauge at bottom. Thank you !!!!

  21. Robert Pill

Mark, I’ve just found a dead link. On clicking the “play’ arrow to the site tour video at the top of this page nothing happens. This might be the same problem that Mike found on April 2 so I will elucidate: I’m using a MacBook Pro OS X10.9.5 running Safari 7.1.3 and I can play other YouTube videos normally on this Mac. The tour video plays perfectly, however, on my iPhone 5s iOS 8.2.

  22. Mark from PCClassesOnline

Thanks, Robert. I just tried it and it works well for me on both my phone and desktop. If it doesn’t work on one device, chances are that something needs to be updated in your browser (i.e. Flash). Try another browser. If that works, that tells you it’s Safari that needs an update.

    • Robert Pill

Ok Mark, thanks for the advice but I still can’t get the video to play in Safari.

I’ve updated Safari to 7.1.5, which I believe is the latest, and uninstalled Flash Player and reinstalled to the current version ( in Safari.

The video does play in Firefox and I can view other videos on YouTube.

Is there anything else you can think of that I might be doing wrong? Is it because I’m using Mavericks? I’ll just use Firefox if necessary.

  23. Anshul Kumar

    Hi Mark,
Firstly,I wanted to congratulate you on your website! The UI, appearance, simplicity, user friendliness & searchability is excellent (***** – 5 stars). I have seen multiple videos and reviews but KUDOS to you for making everything SO simple.

How about an IOS app for your website?

    • Mark from PCClassesOnline

Thanks, Anshul! David A. Cox is the brains and vision behind everything – I am just a team member and designer, so I want to be sure to shine the light on him. :)

  24. Deepak

    Dear David
The work that you are doing is commendable and that too with “no strings attached”. Really appreciate it and always try my best to get all my friends/colleagues to watch your classes and site. Keep up the good work.

  25. Ty Hartnett

A fantastic service, have and will continue to recommend the site to others.Recently I had to update Adobe flash player on my iMac running Yosemite. I wasted a whole day trying all the recommended ways of getting it to work.In frustration I rang Apple help NZ, the technician said that he had spent the previous day trying to resolve the same problem. He had just found the solution -it was completely unlike all the others on Utube etc.and exceedingly simple and obvious in hind sight.Turn off and boot in safe mode, access Adobe through Safari and follow the prompts etc. How about a simple vid Guys? for all the frustrated Yosemite users. It would have saved me 7 hours! Shalom.Ty

  26. Wardie Ward

Thank you David Cox for all your efforts (yes, I have donated a little$) because your website is my GO-TO answer for anyone who asks me how to do something on their MAC. You have rescued me from enourmous amounts of family and friend guilt-trippings. I wish I could hug you, but I can’t, so that’s fine.

  27. Lyndon Dsilva

    Hi David,

I would like to thank you for the advise you have given me after my Mac Book Pro was attacked with lots of Malware and Adware. I really appreciate your immediate response by email. I will continue recommending your website to all my Family, Friends and sharing the wonderful work you do.

  28. Jeanette

David, I was watching your website tour video on an iPad Air 2 that I had just updated with iOS 8.3 and once the video started, I could not pause or rewind it, none of the usual controls showed up. When I tapped the screen to try to access them I was taken back to the first page. I tried to do the same on my iPhone 5 which was iOS 8.2 and everything was working as it should so it looks like there may be an issue with iOS 8.3. Thanks for all the Tutorials you put out.

    • Jeanette

I’ve just tried accessing the video controls again and have discovered that I was tapping the screen too low down.
In order to get at the controls, I needed to tap within the YouTube video screen, not the rest of the iPad screen, which is what I was doing. Cheers.

  29. Roger Masten

Fantastic new website. Wish all were as easy to use! Great Job!!! Will send a donation to PCO soon. Keep up the good work.

  30. Marcel van der Heijden

looking great hope to visit real soon again

    greetings from the netherlands

  31. Shirley Stone

Your new site is prettified but you have omitted a list of all classes. Please advise how to access the list.

    • Mark from PCClassesOnline

We don’t currently have a master list, but you can use the search option to get a list of any topic you want to see.

      • Shirley Stone

In the past, just browsing what is offered I found things I wouldn’t have known to specifically ask for, i.e. How to Clean Your Mac, Alfred, etc. Not having a Master List is a real flaw and makes using the service that I have always valued, less useful. Please consider adding it ASAP. It will make me and my Users Group smile.

      • Mark from PCClassesOnline

Thanks for the feedback, Shirley. We will definitely take that into consideration. In the meantime, you can still browse the entire list of our classes on our YouTube channel if you’d prefer to see an entire list. Here’s a direct link to the videos page. https://www.youtube.com/user/TechTalkAmerica/videos

  32. BJ

David, I would like to know if you have posted any discussion regarding alternatives to Office 365? My subscription is expiring and I would like to evaluate other options for documents and spreadsheets on my pc. Although I am learning “Pages” and “Numbers” on my new MacBook Pro, years of documents were created using Office products. I understand that they become ‘read only’ documents. I am also concerned about email account folders which are accessed through outlook?
I discovered your classes on utube and have shared your web address with almost everyone I have met during Mac workshops. You offer exceptional learning opportunities. Thanks so much!

  33. Laurence OFlaherty

Hi David, just like to congratulate you on your awesome new website, being new to apple products myself, i find your tutorials outstanding, and easy to follow, all the best to you & your team.

  34. Pat

    Hi David
I have not been able to be in touch with your classes for a while and now find you have a new website which, for some reason, I can’t seem to access properly. None of the clicks seem to be live. I know I must be missing something here as I am a beginner with Mac so please excuse me being stupid but can you tell me what I am doing wrong. I’d very much like to start to learn again from your online classes.

    • Mark from PCClassesOnline

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble, Pat. Everything is working as it should on this end and we’ve had tens of thousands of visitors since we launched the new site. What browser are you using?

  35. james

Very nice, congrats! Sure do enjoy your instructional help and you’re the first place I go and/or send people who need tutorials.

  36. ACE

    Great new site!Loving it!

  37. precious

I already have a website, i want to build a mobile app for it, so that it can be seen on yapp. please how do i go about that? i really do love this website. so so great. nice job.

    • Mark from PCClassesOnline

Sorry, I don’t understand your question… Yapp is a website where you make a mobile app, so you don’t make an app to be SEEN on Yapp, you use Yapp to MAKE a mobile app… https://www.yapp.us/

  38. Bize

I have recently discovered your classes on You-Tube. Thank you by the way;-)
I wanted to ask you if it would be a good idea to upgrade my iMac from Mountain Lion to the current operating system. I know, I am behind times, but I don’t like change.

    • Mark from PCClassesOnline

  39. Sugunan

Recently I have purchased a MacBook Air. I was using Windows for many years. I was little worried about using Mac. But after going thru your classes which are crystal clear and systematic, the fear of using Mac has completely gone. Thanks to you and your team for this great service. Regards.

    • Mark from PCClassesOnline

Thanks for the kind words – and you’re welcome!

  40. louis Rivera

I joined the pco to give pcclasses support but have found it conflicts with my ebates. How can I get out of giving support to pcclasses. I will instead give cash money to continue my support.

  41. John Barsotti

I effected your little trick for securely saving my passwords on my computer for ready access – the one where a password is created for a Word document that then requires a password to open (you use the password “cupcake”). Once such a document is created how is the password changed?

Also, I am considering purchasing Toast Titanium 12 and an external hard drive from your store. How is that done where you receive some benefit from the purchase?

  42. Tracy

    Wow…..great looking new website.
I cant wait to finish our new one now ….. very exciting.
Look forward to hanging out in here and soaking in all your great information and advise.

    • Mark from PCClassesOnline

That’s so great to hear! Thanks for joining us!

  43. Amy

Why can I not get your videos to play?

    • Amy

I’ve fixed the issue, thank you.

  44. james

Concerning your excellent airport express class, there is 1 minor problem, you can only use a phono input for playing LP vinyl records. There is an additional preamplifer stage built into the phono input because LP vinyl records have very low output that requires a stronger signal. Any other signal played through a phono input will be boosted too much and could damage the speakers. Also, the airport express audio out is dual purpose. It is a high quality optical with the use of the proper adaptor. This will give superior sound with modern digital receivers.

  45. Wilson

love the new website! just wanna say many thanks to you and everyone involve in this public service that you are doing. I’m a hard headed person that doesn’t listen very well to people I will admit but the way you teach gets me into your classes more and more! I was never really good with computers but thanks to you and your classes, my sisters now thinks that I am a mac expert as she calls me to troubleshoot and fix her macbook from time to time.

thanks again for being such a great teacher!!!

  46. Cedric

Hello, I am new to the world of Apple and I am learning so much in a short time. Thank you for the tutorials. How can I help keep the classes free for all?

  47. Mario

Hi, any chance on a tutorial for Microsoft Word for Mac ( newest version)???

    • Mark from PCClassesOnline

We don’t have that on the list and we’d have to purchase a copy of Word to do so. Is there something specific you are wanting to know how to do?

  48. Karla White

My Email address has changed. It is now [email protected] . Please send all future emails about classes etc to the new address. Thank you K. White

    • Mark from PCClassesOnline

The easiest way to solve that would be to sign up again using your new email address. I believe that you can unsubscribe or change your email from a link in the footer of any email as well.

  49. Max Greene

Hi Davidas a P.C. user from 1985.- 2013 I purchased Mac OS X about 3 years ago i have attempted to come to terms with it, As a Wedding Vide producer, with very limited success.

  50. Caroline Barlow

Could you please explain the software needed to join the classes and where does it appear in Settings?

    • Mark from PCClassesOnline

Sorry, Caroline – we need to remove this page and video, but I wanted to respond to you. There is no software or registration needed for our classes anymore. Best wishes,

I will be taking class here because I will be buing a macbook pro . Please help me decide that should I buy a macbook pro now or wait for next year models to buy with USB-C .

    • Mark from PCClassesOnline

That’s really up to you and your individual needs. If USB-C is important to you, then wait. For me personally, that’s not at all important, so I would purchase whenever you want in order to get to work on a new machine with all of the benefits that brings.
