The last class they added to the game has been so bad that only 2% of endgame players use it.

After that disaster, I don’t think ZOS is capable of adding a balanced class to the game. They have no idea what they’re doing. I’d rather they try to balance what they have.

Would be nice, but they mentioned a PVE arena will be the "extra content/feature" with Murkmire.
I’d be open to a new class and a new character slot or two if and when.

@DarkScatha No I don’t think we will. They usually save those sort of things for the more expensive chapters. This is a smaller DLC.

No realistic chance of a new class, not just because it’s a Q4 DLC but because they still can’t figure out the last one they added.
    Before posting or commenting:

    1. Remember that other actual living people who make or play this game are reading what you write. Would you really say the same thing to their face with your real life friends and family watching? If you were in a public space with a microphone?
    2. Consider your motivation for what you are typing and the kind of reaction you are aiming for. Are you trying to help someone? Share an idea? Create something fun or start a game? Trying to "look cool" in a junior high kind of way? Something else? If someone else brings their baggage or assumptions to what you write, that is on them. If your goal is to be disrespectful or disruptive, that is on you.
    3. Don’t be quick to judge the motivation for what others are writing. Don’t assume it is negative or toxic, unless the evidence is overwhelming. It’s easy to bring assumptions into things and impute motives that aren’t there. It’s also easy to be moralistic: judging comments, ideas, and concerns raised by your standards of how other people "ought to be" and by extension the value of their views or suggestions ("If people can’t be bothered to X…", "Well, Y was good enough for me…", "Anyone who wants Z is…"). Moralistic judgements are highly flammable — use sparingly, thoughtfully, and carefully.
4.Keep in mind that unless we are talking about human rights, life and death, real world hardships, actual fraud or theft, and so on then there isn’t a need to get outraged and combative. If you need an outlet for distributing unused "craps" in your life, please check current events in the news and take some positive action to make things better. Give those extra craps to something worthwhile. You don’t need to spend that many here.
    5. Don’t be annoying. Don’t be easily annoyed. This covers #1-#4 and is easier to remember.

These are meant as reminders for me, but feel free to borrow them for yourself.

Not many ? Every time I see a video on youtube about ESO someone is asking for a new class. And judging by forums post a lot of people prefer new classes. Personnaly psijic is of no use for most of my characters since we can only use 5 skills per bar so I’ll take a new class over that any day. Warden not being meta for endgame is true but everywhere I go in the game is full of wardens with netch and the bear. I bet it’s the most played class for new players. So to say no one plays the warden is totally not true.

I personally think that classes in the future will be coming as a stand alone thing from now on…meaning that there might just be an announcement that is not related to a dlc or chapter introducing us to a new class…

….Meaning they can sell it by itself without anything else. Would be business smart. Plus if you don’t want to play the class, you have an option to play/buy it or not.

The warden was added/changed to collectables …might be a hint. :)

I disagree. WHY did so many people buy Morrowind? For many it wasn’t FOR Morrowind, it was for the new Warden class. The only reason ZOS separated it with Summerset launch, was the fact that ZOS could now increase it’s monetization buy selling them separately. Those who didn’t buy Morrowind probably didn’t want it, but now the chance to get Warden without having to fork over a larger sum for a ‘package’, might appeal to them more.

Therefore, every Chapter will continue to include a ‘package’, and a year later they will sell pieces separately. I have no doubt when the next Chapter launches, they will sell Jewelry Crafting available as separate purchase, just like they did with Warden.

I’d love to see new races, especially since there are a ton of options available and the existing race passives leave a lot that could be added. The Maomer would be a great race to add imo and the passives could basically be the Dunmer ones but with the fire stuff replaced with shock.

As for new classes though, I think adding a couple more skill lines to existing classes or making sub classes would be a better option.

They will definitely add more classes to the game in time. All MMOs do, that’s part of how they keep long term players in. What would really be a good idea for them, however, would be to make all new classes included in the base game, even if they are released in tandem with a new chapter (and likely never in a DLC, because if they stick to their ludicrous business model of 3 DLCs and a chapter every year, they’ll never be able to include that much content in the DLCs without increasing the size of the development team). That way, we’d never have to hear the "pay 2 win" cries every time a new class is added.

In my personal opinion though, we’ve got a long way to go with current class balancing before I want to see any kind of new classes. Additionally, I’d much rather see new weapon types (complete with new skill trees, of course) over new classes. I’m happy with the classes in game now, and don’t need anything more.

Define "plenty" and then compare it to the other mentioned figur that only a small fraction of the endgamers are using it.
Or use logic – obviously a paywalled class will not be as popular then any of the "free" classes, Duh.

But I said my piece about the "new class" notion, and that alone should illustrate the point that not -everyone- wants new classes, only -some-. Others who already did some alting would resent having to do more alting. And its always better business to make something that -everyone- can enjoy, yes? ;)
Thus… skill lines that everyone can pick up rank higher in my appreciation factor then new classes. Doubly so if they come with some "either-or" choices, be it specializations or a guild system where some guilds are opposed…

But I totally agree with new weapon skill lines, that anyone could pick up. The more choices we have for our characters, the more diverse those can get, and the more fun we might have with ESO! But of course, I would agree with new weapon skills, considering: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/371862/additional-weapon-skill-ideas-mk-ii ;)

I did say "not as many". As in… Not as many as some would have everyone believe.
As I said, its only logical. What classes would be played more, those free for all, or those you gotta pay extra for, hmm? Same with races – which will be played more, the free ones, or imperial?

And as I said, I don’t doubt that there are many people who would like a new class. Those who are still new, and have not yet had their fill on a dozend playthroughs… but there are also those who have made over a dozend characters already, and shudder at the idea of getting a new class.

And that brings us back to the gist of my argument. Make something only the new ones might enjoy, or spend the same resources on stuff that -everyone- might find fun? I know what I would prefer… though I also don’t doubt that there will be enough people who go like "Gimme what I want and fu… forget anyone else".
